“Study smarter, not harder!” This probably is something that you’ve heard of before or seen somewhere in the Internet, but most of you don’t know how to study in a smart way without putting in a lot of effort.

What’s wrong about the way we normally study?

Well, generally, we, almost everyone, cram the night before the exam, don’t we? But that’s no where near the best way to study. In fact, it is one of the worst ways to study. Neither do you understand, nor do you remember it for a long period of time.

I have a few tips for you so that you can study smartly without boning up.

Tips to Study Smarter:

  1. Study regularly for a short time.
Research has shown that the students who study regularly for a short time are more likely to perform better than those who pull off an all-nighter mugging up the content.
  2. Study at different environments.
It has been found that the students who study at different environments perform better than the intrusive ones. Studying at a natural, green environment can be a plus point for you.
  3. Visualize.
If you visualize what you study, it is more likely that you will remember it, because our brain remembers images better than text.
  4. Teach a kid.
In fact, teaching is the best way of learning something. While you teach, you explain the things to both the listener and yourself, and hence, it will be fruitful to you. So, the next time you read something, try to explain it to a kid who barely knows anything about it. It will help you understand everything from the scratch.
  5. Make use of your bilingual brain. (If you are bilingual.)
If you know any 2 languages, then, make use of it. Translate what you studied into the next language you know and it surely will turn out fruitful for you. It will help you understand the content while you get better at both of the languages.
