(98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address
no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs

The above error is one of the most annoying this that I’ve faced as a Linux Server Administrator. It just sucks, doesn’t it? Are any of you guys having trouble “troubleshooting” that problem?
Well, I present you guys an easy fix!

Just follow the following commands and you should do fine!

  • Check which process is using the port number 80.
  • Hard-kill the process.
    ##kill -9
  • Now, just start the service.
[[email protected] ~]# systemctl start httpd

That’s all!
You’ve done it!
Easy, wasn’t it?

Make sure to share, it will be of help to the ones who are new to system administration and comment if you have any issues! 🙂
